Seattle’s Fremont Solstice Parade Summer 2013

Despite the plethora of naked-painted bicyclists that open the Fremont parade in Seattle, it is still a family affair.  Locally known as the Solstice parade, it is an annual event in late-June.  The event announces the arrival of a long anticipated summer in the Greater Seattle area, and perhaps for most of the Northwest.  It was wonderfully  warm that day, and I was excited to use my new Sony RX100 D. bought me for Mother’s Day.  The Seattle Bike Blog estimates that there were as many as 1000 colorful in-the-buff participants.
